ABOUT THE
PROGRAM

OKUSACA Student Assistance Program is an initiative to support our youth and young adult needing educational assistance. The following scholarship and other incentives will be awarded to OKUAPEMMAN YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULTS students majoring in different academic programs. 

2023 SCHOLARSHIPS

VIDA AKUFFO NURSING AWARD

Awarded to a nursing student from an undergraduate nursing program who:

  • Demonstrates leadership:

  • Prepares, motivates, and impacts other students as leaders

  • Participates in community activities and gives back to others

  • Mentors fellow students

  • Promotes activity in nursing organizations

  • Creates opportunities for engagement and involvement

AMPOFO ASARE TECHNOLOGY EVANGELIST AWARD

Awarded to a student enrolled in a technology program, who demonstrates the below:

  • Demonstrates leadership

  • Prepares, motivates, and impacts other students as leaders

  • Participates in community activities and gives back to others

  • Mentors fellow students

EDINAM EDUCATION AWARD

  • Awarded to a student to aid in the purchase of backpacks, school supplies, and educational-related expenses.

  • Open to all students but Student must be in a household with income at or below the poverty level

PHARMACY AWARD

  • All PharmD students who exhibit outstanding professionalism.

  • A willingness to mentor and serve as a role model

  • Providing timely and meaningful coaching and/or feedback

  • Sharing knowledge and expertise

  • Demonstrating passion toward the profession and enthusiasm for the advancement of pharmacy practice

  • Exhibiting the highest level of dignity and professionalism

  • Facilitating teamwork and an inter-professional approach to patient care

  • Providing opportunities for innovative learning experiences and growth as a professional

M.A.’S OIL AND GAS AWARD

  • The scholarship aims to promote awareness about conventional energy sources, particularly oil, and gas. Interest in alternate energy sources is also encouraged.

  • Scholarship eligibility shall be limited to OKUSACA members in good standing and their relatives.

  • Recipients or their relatives must be enrolled at the post-secondary education level and working towards a bachelor’s degree.

  • Engineering is the preferred field of study, but other science-related fields and logistics and supply chain management are acceptable.

  • The scholarship is limited to one lump sum award, a fixed amount announced specifically through OKUSACA.
